I enjoyed my time in Paris when I lived there for 6 months and I enjoy it every time I go back whether for a day layover or a few days. These photos, taken during one of my brief layovers there, are of two entrances to the Paris metro at the Pigalle station. I find them evocative. And, of course, they make me want to return!

Ah, le metro!
I also love the Metropolitain signs and wish I had spent more than 10 days in Paris… maybe one day! -
I stayed at a hotel in Pigalle, that’s where I found the nicest and most helpful pharmacist ever when I got the flu- Loved the area, minus walking by the strip clubs at night (pig alley) and everyone trying to “get you”
The sign reminds me of the movie Metropolis.-
The area is an interesting mix of things, isn’t it, Karl? I enjoyed watching tourists, of all things!

Yes, I feel Paris is a place I can never tire of returning to – now, on to winning the lottery! 🙂

The lettering on the bottom sign is my favorite. When I see that, I immediately know it’s in Paris.

It certainly is a very unique font, Michele!

I love the old signage of The Metro.

That signage definitely fits well my notion of old Paris.
